Principal
Salary: £Competitive to attract the right applicant
Location: Sidcup, Kent
Contract Type: Full Time
Contract Term: Permanent
Start Date: April/September 2018
Could your inspiring leadership shape a recently opened primary free school in Sidcup, Kent?
New Generation Schools Trust, a Multi-Academy Trust formed in 2012, is seeking to appoint a Principal for Hope Community School, Sidcup, a one-form (3 -11) entry Primary Free School which opened September 2013 with a Reception class of 30 children and growing towards a 210 intake in 2019. Our MAT already comprises one other member school in Southampton with plans to open more over the coming years.
Hope, Sidcup was graded Good (with Outstanding Behaviour and Safety) by Ofsted in June 2015.
This is a rare opportunity for an existing or first-time or existing Head with a track record of achievement in education and with the vision and skills to lead our new school and create an exemplar model of education.
HOPE is exactly what this school offers to the community of Sidcup. The school is at the very heart of the community; reaching out to local families to increase children's aspirations, encourage a spirit of adventure and maximise each child's talents by underpinning the Christian values of generosity and hospitality to create community pioneers. Inspiring children (of all faiths and none) to not only value their community but also develop the desire, ability and tools to transform and enrich it through innovative and aspirational visions.
So, are you looking for another exciting challenge? Or maybe you know of a passionate, well-qualified, outstanding teacher with successful senior leadership experience who could grow into the role - perhaps a Deputy or Assistant Head looking for your next challenge?
Candidates would need to be committed Christians with a clear understanding of the needs of very young children as well as successful, wider primary experience.
To find out more about this role and to discuss your situation and what we’re looking for in complete confidence, please contact Liam Dowds, our Emmaus Leadership Advising Consultant who is assisting us with this assignment, on 01737 652043 or ldowds@emmausleadership.me .

The Trust is committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of every child and we expect all applicants to share this commitment. Appointments will be subject to an enhanced DBS disclosure.
